Do you love to travel to new places? I do too. I love the smell of baguette 🥖 in the morning in France, the cool gelato 🍨 in Italy in the afternoon, and a wonderful meal  in Spain in the evening sitting out on the terrace. I am fluent in French, not in Italian or Spanish.
There are moments when knowing a few key phrases in another language could help. For example being able to buy a train ticket in Italy, souvenirs in Spain, or peaches at a French market. I succeed at all of these, mostly with lots of hand gestures and smiles when I could not speak the language. Does this sound familiar?

Sarah fell in love with French sitting in a high school classroom at the age of 14. Thanks to a passionate teacher and a class trip to Quebec City, Sarah continued her French studies. She spent her semester abroad studying in Montpellier as well as a summer in Avignon studying theater. She went on to earn a BA in French from Aquinas College in Michigan and an MA in French and Francophone Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara. She has more than 20 years of experience teaching French and enjoys making the language come alive for students.
