Alejandra Bernal
SPANISH INSTRUCTOR

Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Alejandra earned her first professional degree as a social worker, before deciding to pursue a career in language teaching. Years later in Bogotá, she earned a diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. This experience inspired her to get her MA in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language at Nebrija University of Madrid, Spain in 2025.
In recent years, she has been teaching languages to children and adults in both face-to-face and virtual settings. She firmly believes that learning new languages can be a transformative and enriching experience from which we can all benefit.
Having lived in various cities and countries, her new home now is Dallas, Texas, where, besides working, she enjoys biking, reading, doing puzzles, crocheting, and learning French.
Alejandra is thrilled to join the Freestyle Languages team and share her enthusiasm for culture and languages with the community. She is looking forward to interacting with her learners in an inclusive, fun, and deeply human environment.
